Wow! Where to start! We went here for an anniversary lunch and both of us were totally wowed by the food! The menu is varied but not too big. We were first served a pre starter - which was delicious, spicy and beautifully presented. We then had a trio of veggie street food and crab cake to start, then beef stew and tilapia as main. Everything was so well balanced, the flavours packed a punch and completely complemented each other. We didn’t have room for pud, but had some lovely rose wine followed by coffee. The service was initially in the slow side but I think they had a new waiter who was being shown the ropes but it wasn’t a problem as we enjoyed the ambience and atmosphere. Soooo so good!!! Can’t wait to return!

Really special evening at The Ambrette.. Our first visit. The service was excellent and food exquisite. It was also surprisingly good value. We shared the vegetarian feast for our main which was plentiful and delicious. Can't recommend enough.

Four of us went for lunch today,we had four different dishes, they were extremely well presented, but all were exceptional tasty and we all agreed it was the best lunch we had eaten in a long while. Not only was the food beautifully cooked, it was professionally served. Today had all of us agreeing that this was the best meal in ages.This restaurant has to be one of the best in Kent. The menu clearly shows the ingredients that are allergenic or that could cause eating problems for the diner. All in all very good value for a very good meal
