Dev Biswal - Head Chef / Managing Director
Dev Biswal is the founder of the Ambrette concept and opened the first restaurant in February 2010. Dev is passionate about ingredients and culinary cultures and habits of people around the world.
Emma Biswal - Director
Emma is the co-founder of the Ambrette restaurants. Emma manages finances, marketing and business administration within the company.
Tobias Barfoot - General Manager
Tobias travels between each Ambrette site managing each of the service teams Credentials include: - Best Service Team - 2010 Restaurant Show. Best Restaurant Employee - Thanet Tourism Award. Best Customer Service - Thanet Tourism Award.
Kirsty Langley - Executive Coordinator
Kirsty has been with the Ambrette since joining in October 2012. Kirsty supports the management team with all aspects of marketing, administration, human resources and management.
Katie Baker - Events Coordinator
Katie joined the team in September 2013. She works closely with our customers managing reservations and organising large parties and events.
Peter Menzes - Restaurant Manager
Peter joined the Ambrette in 2011 as a Restaurant Manager and manages the service team. Peter was recently "Highly Commended" at the 2014 Thanet Tourism Awards.
Vikram Singh- Head Chef
Vikram joined us in 2010 as a chef and is now the head chef. He spends time training and developing young chefs and is also responsible for the day to day running and management of the Margate kitchen.
Luke Westcott- Kitchen Assistant/Trainee chef
Luke joined us in 2013 after completing catering at the Thanet Catering College. He works as a kitchen assistant whilst training with us to be a chef.
Mathew Buckingham- Restaurant Supervisor
Mathew joined us as a Waiter in the Margate restaurant in 2013. He quickly worked his way up to Restaurant Supervisor.
