In June The Ambrette Margate is set to move to a new location opposite the Turner Art Gallery on Margate seafront. Please note that the following dates will be at the new restaurant location and we will inform you next week of the address and where to park: -

This event is a tribute to the talented and much loved Tony Richards, our beloved musician and friend.

Listening to music and dining are both sensory experiences and we believe that music is the final frontier in food presentation. Enjoy a six course meal where every course is matched to a piece of Classical Jazz. We are calling it "The Ambrette Jazz tasting menu". The whole endeavour is to explore the concept of "eating through the ears" in more details. What food matches best with what piece of music and vice versa.

MEDLEY OF EXOTIC MUSHROOMS, ORGANIC CHERRY TOMATOES

Homemade tomato sauce, chutneys, mango and red onion salad

TRIO OF VEGETARIAN STREET FOOD

Crispy poori, sweet potato and chick pea flour dumpling, onion and spinach fritter, tomato chutney.

GRILLED TILAPIA SALAD

Grilled tilapia, crispy anchovies, cucumber, spinach leaves, grapefruit vinaigrette dressing

KERALA STYLE BRITISH BEEF STIR FRY, SEASONAL VEGETABLES

Saffron velouté sauce, biryani rice.

When the dish directly contains an allergen, it is listed on our menu. All our dishes may contain traces of celery, gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, soya and sulphur dioxide.  

Due to the large number of products that we use and the rate of change of allergen traces found in these products it is not possible to specify which products contain traces of allergens as they are constantly being updated without notice. Therefore, please be aware that it is possible that any dish could contain traces of all allergens. 

New Cancellation Policy

Due to the number of last minute cancellations for this event we have introduced a cancellation policy. To reserve a table you will be required to provide debit or credit card details into our secure system. Your card will not be charged at the time of booking your table. In the event of a cancellation you will be charged £15.00 per person onto your card. If you have any questions regarding this cancellation policy please contact us and we will be happy to answer all your questions or concerns. All card details are encrypted and held in accordance with worldwide PCI DSS standards.
