Diwali celebrations at the Ambrette

Diwali is the biggest Ambrette event of the year!

Diwali is the festival of lights, which is celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists every autumn in the northern hemisphere.

One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance." Light is a metaphor for knowledge and consciousness. During the celebration, temples, homes, shops and office buildings are brightly illuminated.

Reserve a table and enjoy the Ambrettes twist on a Diwali tradtional feast.

To mark the occasion we have invited Bhavik Haria & Friends to perform a selection of traditional and modern Indian music, including a selection of popular Bollywood songs. They have over 20 years’ experience playing at Diwali celebrations all over the world. On the 25th and the 27th Ocotber Bhavik Haria wil play the harmonium and be joined by the tabla. On the 28th October Bhavik will play the flute and be joined by the tabla.

For those that love henna art we have invited Kajal from KK artistry back to the Ambrette to treat you with natural henna tattoos.

Please feel free to wear tradtional Indian dress, we will be!
