Since our opening in November 2011, The Ambrette restaurant in Rye has been a favourite with both locals and tourists. Our head chef and founder, Dev Biswal, has created a fresh, unique menu with his innovative and open-minded approach to cooking. Book a table with us today to experience our adventurous and exotic dishes for yourself.
As a result of Dev’s artistry and creativity, our menu combines traditional Indian flavours with influences from global cuisines, such as French and South East Asian. We are proud to serve a range of exotic meals, but we also source many of our ingredients locally. This local produce includes foraged seaweed, local game, and traditional favourites like lamb and chicken from suppliers here in Kent, giving us the best of local food and the finest global cuisine.
You can find our restaurant on High Street, in the heart of Rye’s historic town centre, just a few minutes’ walk away from the museums and St Mary’s church. We’re also only a 10 minute drive from the stunning Camber Sands beach, so whether you’ve been enjoying the sun on the coast, or spending a relaxing day in and around Rye, we’re right here to give your day the perfect finish.
